My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed the embiance of the beautiful dining hall as well as the food and service. Furthermore, our room (105) has a tiny balcony where you can stick out your head and see the gorgeous MSM! It is small, of course, but I like the sight of it. Speaking of convenience, the supermarket is just across street and the free shuttle to MSM is only steps away. I bought a bottle of the famous cidre at the display stands right next to the hotel; later I found out the prices at the supermarket were a lot lower. We have felt and enjoyed Mont St Michel staying at Le Mouton Blanc; a small hotel located in a small mediavel building right on the main road; giving the exact atmosphere you expect as you start organising ..."your visit to Mont St Michel. Luckly we had the attic room; it was quite small but it felt like we are staying in an "inn" in the Bourbon times with wooden columns, old glass windows and old style wooden curtain... And more important than anything, we could see the main road, other old buildings sorrounding ours and part of the tower from the window.. So who cares about the size of the room or the narrow stairs you have to take or the uncomfortable bed or unlocking the backdoor to be able to get back to your room after -I can't remember what time- or very good breakfast which would surprise you for sure.
