  "This is a lovely family run hotel on the edge of Switzerland - yet the hotel could be nothing else but French. It is small, homely, friendly and comfortable. Not luxurious - our room was small and furnished with old style wardrobe and dressing table... a comfortable double bed and a pristine shower ..."room. We had a window over the town square - a typically French scene, shady trees, an elegant fountain, local cafe with tables outside, and a quirky statue of Voltaire - the pedestrian shopping streets are nearby and we loved the Saturday market. Our only criticism was that the room was very warm and we didn't seem able to turn off the radiator, which meant open windows and a noisy early morning. We walked to the Chateau Voltaire where we had an informative tour and a stroll through beautiful gardens - a massive magnolia tree was in full pink bloom. Next to this, for a family of 4 we consider an apartment much more comfortable Mattresses (both sofa bed as well as bed in master bedroom) were of good quality as was the furniture (1 round table in the living room with 4 chairs, a writing desk and a small table with 2 chairs in the kitchen area). 2 TV’s and some pictures add to a cozy feeling.
