Hotel restaurant was nice, food good but service quite slow (but not a problem as very relaxing atmosphere). Great location with free bus collection outside hotel to ski lift only 2 minutes. Wildhaus is small and very pretty but skiing is excellent and extensive for all levels as multiple lifts and cable cars go to two nearby villages. Facilities very, very good and we will be returning. Only downside is how expensive everything is but this goes with the territory when skiing ! However, Wildhaus and the Toggenburg area is worth the money. " More >

  "We spent a long weekend for some skiing at Stump's Alpenrose, which is located ca. 10 min by car up the hill from WIldhaus or Unterwasser. The location is really excellen, in the morning you just jump into your ski bindings and are off to the slope! The hotel staff was very friendly and we felt ve..."ry well as a family. They have conference facilities for business meetings, as well as a large wellness area (4 different saunas, hot tubs, etc.). The cuisine is very good, we really ate well. On the drive up we actually had some problems with the car, which ran out of batteries while we mounted the snow chains. Whilst it is located on the outskirts of Wildhaus, in winter the (free to guests) ski bus stops outside the front door, making the 10 minute daytime travel to the ski lifts very easy. (Wildhaus is a great Ski resort for beginners and everyone is very helpful). Whilst fairly basic this is the perfect place to unwind and spend a quiet low-tech holiday with the family. We have spent a weeks Ski holiday there for the last 3 years and the half board option with no choice but tasty evening menu represents really excellent value for money. I hope to return many more times. A little German would be useful, but not an insurmountable... " More >
