The proprietor is a delightful lady, the views are picturesque, the full English breakfasts are great, and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Great value for..." the money! There is a lot to do in this area as well! Bath has a lot of historic and cultural sites, while Bradford-on-Avon is said to be very picturesque and has its own sites to visit. The Salisbury Plain, with the henges, white horses, and other mysteries, is a close drive. I believe there are plenty of footpaths, for the walkers.We did not avail ourselves of them, but another couple staying did. The Kennett-Avon canal Iis close; the towpath for it also serves for nice walks. For those who don't want to drive, there are nice day and half-day coach tours out of Bath. " More >

  "Stayed here in April just after easter and had a wonderful time. This is probably one of the friendliest places we have stayed. On arrival our six year old daughter immediately took to the owner, who happily took her to feed Jasper the goat, along with the ducks and chickens and also to see the n..."ewly hatched chicks and ducklings. She even got to collect her own egg and had this for breakfast the next day. However I think Ruby the Irish setter was her favourite as she was quite upset saying goodbye to her! We stayed in the milking shed which is a family room and plenty of space for the 3 of us. The room was clean, warm and very comfortable. There were lots of extras which added to the personal touch, such as complimentary bottled water, fudge, and biscuits along with fresh flowers and a basket of fresh fruit.
