  "My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel on the 6th and 7th of May 2013. What a lovely place, if you can find it. It is not well signposted. We had to ask people in Ballyshannon where it was. It is about 5 miles outside Ballyshannon, down a single track road towards the sea. But, when you get there,..." the views are breathtaking. The weather was not great, but the Bank Holiday Monday was not too bad. There were plenty of walkers and fishermen. The hotel is all on one level, which was brilliant for my girlfriend as she walks using a crutch. We were in room 3. Everything you needed was there. The bed was very comfortable and everything was nice and clean. The only thing was that we did not have hot water for the 2 nights we stayed there. The staff were helpful but, somehow, the problem was not fixed. Maybe they had their minds on other things, as the Health and Safety people were due to arrive on the Wednesday!!! Also supply a leading brand of washing powder. Clothes drier was not on a time limit and therefore no need to top up with Euros. There is a TV room with comfy chairs and books. We and our guests enjoy adult refreshments from the pub in the hotel. However a real treat was the traditional Irish music at the hotel owned pub up the road, The Thatch.
