Breakfast is served in the bar. The thing we noticed was a wide international clientele, and also a loyal local following. I talked to one guy from Cork who uses it regularly to relax and a number of local people who use the bar. Without exception everyone spoke highly of it, and rightly so. Mary doesn't go for ratings, preferring to emphasise the special nature of a place which is popular with guests and with the local people.   "This 5-star B&B is located 4 kilometers outside of Kinsale overlooking a beautiful inlet river. We stayed two nights and can't rave enough about it! The price of the room was very competitive, has American and European outlets for charging the technology, and was renovated a couple of years ago so..." the rooms are perfect including a bathtub/shower, and marble tile bathrooms. All the rooms were spacious and well appointed. The breakfast is served any way you request it. The resident dog waited for guests to arrive in the afternoon, looking out the window from the back of the couch. When you walked in he would meet you at the door and gush over you. Talk about feeling welcomed! The host, Maureen, is friendly, down to earth and helpful. We have stayed in Kinsale, on another trip, and had not been treated as well as this B&B did. Don't pass this one over because it's located outside of Kinsale! It worth the short drive. " More >
