  "The hotel is old Days Inn hotel converted to Shannon Court. The staff is nice and friendly. The rooms looked beat up and amortized. At least the linen’s and the beds were clean. We stayed 1 night on the way to Cork and it was Ok for just one night. I would not recommend staying longer than 1 night. ..."There is only 3 hotels in the entire Shannon and this is rated number 2 . There was breakfast included in ur package and we choose Full Irish breakfast. The other option was all you can eat buffet. The choices on the buffet were: Milk, Orange juice, Reg coffee, muffin and egg – yes this is right 5 items on the buffet table  there is no special place for the buffet it is just one table inside the Chinese restaurant located in the lobby of the hotel.   "We had the best experience possible when I stayed in The Oakwood Arms, from the very first moment until we drove away. It has to be one of the "Hidden Treasures" of the Mid West, if nor Ireland. It is just a beautiful place to stay, the reception area is very impressive and the staff are more than h..."elpful. The room, double room, was luxurious , spacious and very comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and I take my hat off to the chef, the whole menu was extensive and very well presented, the staff overall were very courteous . We retired to the hotel bar, which was lively and the local people were very welcoming and entertaining.   "We have stayed here 3 times over the years and I'm just getting to write about it. While living in Ireland from 2005 - 2011 we would use Shannon Airport for all of our flights. At first we tended to drive down from Connemara on the morning of our flights but this became ridiculously tiring. We decid..."ed to try this hotel due to their very generous "Stay a night, park your car free" deal. The hotel is amazingly clean and up to date. The staff are friendly and really know the area well. The rooms were all perfectly clean, modern and relaxing. The dining room presented good food for a fair price. It is too bad that Shannon Airport is not getting much support from the government as it is the perfect place for flights from the West. Going to Dublin (yechhhh) is almost being forced upon the Irish by these policies. At any rate - STAY HERE - you'll not ever regret it! " More >
