  "We have just returned from our 10 night stay at Centara and it was like holidaying in paradise! We booked this holiday for my husbands 40th birthday and it was the most relaxing, enjoyable holiday we have ever had, even with two kids (9 & 7)! The resort is a fantastic family location with plenty of ..."things to keep the kids occupied. Our kids spent some time in the kids club although as it only takes up to 9 year olds, our older one really only went along to be with his sister. Having said that, there was a fantastic games area where the kids spent time playing air hockey, pool, playing computer games etc. Of course, that was when we weren't in the beautiful pool, or out snorkeling on the reef, or out on one of the many included 'free' trips ... a visit to a local island, a sunset cruise, snorkelling with whale sharks!   "Was worried we had set our hopes to high reading all the reviews, we were not disappointed. Yes some of the reviews on the room condition are correct but it's the tropics and mainly timber decay which they were working on while we were there, everything else was fine, clean rooms, plenty fresh towel..."s, quality toiletries, great turn down service with water by the bed every night. Food choice and quality amazing, we had island club but had fantastic meals everywhere, especially the Thai, great authentic flavours and amazing service. What makes Centara so very special is the natural wonders of the house reef and the amazing staff.   "The Maldives is an expensive hobby. Once you have been all you dream about is going back!!! We tend to agree with all the positive comments other reviewers have made about the resort. We specifically searched out a resort with an all inclusive plan so that they would not be constantly worrying abo..."ut what a final bill would be, we wanted to be able to totally relax. We elected to go with the Island Club and were happy with our choice - the evening meals were spectacular and much more intimate. Also for breakfasts it was nice to have something cooked especially for you and in a much more relaxed setting than the Reef. The quieter pool and other perks were worth it (the 2 piece of laundry a day was a small but great bonus) The Thai restaurant was great and we often dined here for lunch on the set menu to force us to try different dishes - there was not one that we didn't enjoy!
