  "We spent a night here with our dog and the staff could not have been more helpful. Efficient checking in, luggage carried up and they looked after the dog while we had dinner rather than putting him in the car. Our room was comfortable (it was the one named after the shirt people). It was a littl..."e gloomy and I suspect there are better rooms but they do allocate certain rooms for dogs. They are a bit regimented about when you turn up for dinner but the food was excellent. The artichoke and salsify salad was very very good. Breakfast was slightly disappointing. We were very prompt on Sunday morning which seemed to catch them unawares. The array of fruit lacked some compote and there was no fresh yoghurt or muesli. Nor was the orange juice freshly squeezed. On the other hand, the eggs benedict was good. We walked around the grounds but weren't organised enough to use the spa. You get what you pay for and this was expensive but you could appreciate why. " More >
