A huge barbecue sorted out our evening meal and the breakfast provided for a small additional cost put many other B&B's to shame - juice, cereals, bread, butter, jams etc., bacon, eggs, hash browns and sausages a..."ll provided. We in fact left some food behind. A complimentary bottle of wine was also a nice touch. We would have loved to have arrived a bit earlier to admire the scenery but it got dark early and we had to leave early the next day, but a great place to stay especially if holidaying locally.   "We obtained our booking through travel auctions. Having read some of the reviews we were not sure what to expect here. Once we got past the grumpy old man at the reception desk we were pleasantly surprised. Yes the facilities were showing their age with some things needing attention but we spent ..."a couple of days in comfort here. Good to see the motel using so many solar panels for their energy but the shower rose and toilet cistern were from another age and need to be replaced with water saving rose and duel flush cistern. Bed was very comfortable with a great mattress that gave a very comfortable sleep. One of the best we have encountered in a motel! We didn't use the meal facilities. Would have liked a small table and two chairs in the room. " More >
