  "we found it by luck! we were biking and gettig late and cold so we pulled into this little gem. Janice the manager was lovely and helpful. we were the only one's in the entire lodge, she made us feel right at home. The room was small but we picked the cheapest room, was clean and comfy. Cant eat that at 9100 ft above sea level. loved no TV's in rooms and cell service was sparse, but what do you expect at that altitude and in the middle of the forest! we would definiately go back but get a larger room!   "We wanted to get away from the phone/fax so a leisurely drive was in order. Take a right and then a left and stop at a lookout or two and before we know it... it was starting to get late when the Hannagan Meadow Lodge came into view. It gave us the retro feeling of the summer lodges our families ..."would go to every year. We stopped and friendly Wild Bill McClain the horse wrangler came out to see if he could help us. It has been years since we had such wonderful service. Clean, fresh, friendly and great rooms with NO tv or phone. There were fires crackling in stone fireplaces and cozy sitting areas everywhere. Yes...there was access to phone, tv, and wifi but nothing in my face invading the quiet. Outside the loudest sound was the whispering of the tall pines=) We loved it! Did I mention the delicious dinner and breakfast they served us complete with outstanding "ambiance"?
