  "I was referred to the AMEG resort by a friend that was raised in the town close to Kilimanjaro. I went with him and a large group and I can say that the hospitality was fantastic. They took amazing care of us. They arranged everything- airport transfers, safaris, recommendations for shopping and din..."ing when we went into town. They even recommended the city's only night club that is within walking distance. We were sad it rained and we couldn't go. The bunglaows were simple but nice and secure. Mosquito nets and private bathrooms in every room. The pool and hot tub were lovely and the restaurant served fantastic Indian fare. And there is a bar on property! Yay!   "16 of us stayed at Ameg Lodge pre- & post- climbing Kilimanjaro. They picked us up at the airport, organised our climb (guides and equipment), stored our bags while we were in the mountain and organised 2 days of safari for us after Kili. The organisation was excellent and we had no problems or worr..."ies what so ever. The lodge has a beautiful, well maintained gardens, swimming pool and large gym. The bar has a good selection of local beers and a good menu a la carte with Indian/Asian influence. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable with air conditioning, comfortable bed with mosquito net, small TV and bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet. It is esentially all you need and they have a charming feeling to them. The lodge is quiet and relaxing but there is a bar/night club not far from the Lodge if you want to have a night out to celebrate you succesful climb! " More >
