The restaurant upstairs was great and thee is a grocery right in the complex. You can even use a credit card, which is nice. Note, they only take visa...", not MasterCard. Everyone in our group couldn't say enough about how it's the best place they have stayed in Nouakchott. Warning in the hot water... For an inexplicable reason the water vacillates between scalding and cold without every touching the lever. Just be careful, once you know that it's easier to navigate the shower without burning yourself. Upstairs in the restaurant my favorite starter was the nems and my favorite main was the beef with mushroom sauce. " More >

My room was quiet and spacious. The hotel restaurant is on the 4th floor and you can eat inside or on the ba..."lcony. The breakfast buffet was very good and they served ham, whch was a plus in a muslim country. When I went to the restaurant for dinner, the staff convinced me to eat in my room because I was the only one there. I preferred this because there was a great movie on and I didn't have to miss it. They brought my order with no extra charge. I had chicken tagine the first night and sole roulade the second night. The food tasted great and the portions were ample. I went to the grocery store to get water and snacks. Plastic bags are outlawed so they use cloth or paper bags.
