"I was staying in Gaweye hotel for the first time in my more than eight trips in and out of Niamey in the past eight months or so, and it offers interesting contrasts to the other popular hotel in town. The exterior need some updating but the inside feels quite good. The staff are friendly and a good..." number of them speak some nice English (considering that Niger is french speaking) The room was quite tidy, very fast wi-fi internet connection and clean bedding. There were some English channels on TV. Ironically, there's a massive lawn tennis court which no one seemed to have used over a long time..and it was dilapidating..sad. Compared to other hotels in town...I rate Gaweye above average.

There is nothing truly grand about the rooms, indoor restaurant or the ...

"I stayed at Hotel Niger in 2012 for a 2 week period. It is best in Niger, as per local standard. The view is beutiful since River Niger flows behind the Hotel and there is bridge on the river..good vew during sunset..Food is not much for a Vegetarian like me..but Hotel service and cleanliness is go..."od.
But there are armed security guards in Hotel , which I was told because of an attempt by some Al queda guys to kidnap a French national..
