The Arabia Felix hotel is at the western edge of Old Sanaa and consists of four traditional Yemeni houses. Rooms either have a shared or ensuite bathroom, price is the same for both. There is a good vi..."ew out over the Old City from the roof, best at sunset. The houses are tall and narrow so the staircases are pretty steep. The rooms were basic and decorated with traditional fabrics. The double bed was thin but comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant. Meals are served in the beautiful courtyard, the included breakfast consisted of yogurt, honey and bread with tea. For dinner they have a good selection of dishes. Traveling outside of Sanaa requires obtaining permits. We only had a single full day in Sanaa and we were able to arrange a tour/permits ahead of time through the hotel. " More >
