And just beyond the pools are black volcanic rocks with low cliffs dropping to pounding sea. The higher the tide the higher the waves blow into the air and gush across the rock pools. Hanging with elbows on the side of one of the swimming pools watching the massive walls of spume fly into the air and crash onto the black rocks is simply spectacular.
