  "Stayed here last year, but this year?"
  "Last year our two families stayed there and were very satisfied with everything - that is why the excellent rating here. This year we're thinking to book the same again however just came to the realisation that we have to pay 1900 EUR for one week for the same thing (2+1 inc. half pension) we paid ..."last year 1400 EUR. This is 35% more than what we paid last year! This year we would need to pay 1495 for the 2 adults only and would a 5 year old cost almost 500 extra?? In many other hotels there's no addition for the small children, because probably they are aware of the fact that the parents have to beg for the young ones to eat at least something. This year even though we were happy and satisfied last year unfortunately we have to find an other hotel suits to our budget especially because we want to go for 10 days this time.   "We arrived in Pula as it was getting dark and initially felt very deflated as there was a lot of graffiti on walls, road works and we felt we arrived in an industrial town. How wrong! Being directed to the hotel by a helpful local we were pleasantly surprised by the roman amphitheatre which was gl..."owing from the softy lighting almost next to the hotel. After being welcomed into the hotel and shown where to park our large hire car, we went up to the room and were very pleasantly surprised with its large size and modern design. No problem with free wifi and more than adequate breakfast. The receptionist was very, very helpful and spoke good English. Her employer, whom was at the reception desk the next morning, could do with a good dose of customer service training and shown how to smile. Accommodations and public areas are tastefully done and immaculately clean.The hotel,however, does not deserve a 5* rating for the following reasons. There was also still some ongoing renovations/building work. The hotel offers two swimming pools indoor and outdoor both were so cold they took my breath away! The Beauty treatments/massages were excellent and are reasonably priced. The hotel is very big with Conference facilities. Unfortunately for us a conference was held whilst we were there and appeared to 'take over' the hotel to the detriment of the holiday makers. Staff couldn't cope with the extra demand and as a result we had to wait unacceptably long periods of time to be served.
