  "Fantastic location but rooms need some more maintenance"
  "No doubts about one thing, its Simply Value for Money and compare the location, superb with restaurants, shopping area and the river Shi so near the Zhongshan centre. Would not comment about the locals whether they agree it is in the centre or not, but for us travellers it is definitely well located...". The only area of improvement that is required is that the rooms need to be more maintained- walls especially need a re-paint. But the house-keeping is absolutely perfect and makes up for it. Another let down is the breakfast which is actually not even basic. Maybe the hotel authorities can hike the price a bit and make the breakfast a tad better!!!! Anyways not to worry about breakfast as the McDonalds is in the same building and you can always avoid the hotel Breakfast and enjoy it McD!!!! Price wise once again "Its Value for Money" anyday!!! And if you book a few days earlier its even a Better Value for Money!!!! But mind you its a Budget Ibis hotels, so the expectations shoul... " More >

  "Located right in the centre of zhongshan city, i stay in this hotel every month when i am in zhongshan. Price is reasonably cheap with excellent location compared to sheraton or shangri la. Link to supermarket, shopping mall, cinema, karaoke, night club, restaurants, kfc, mcdonald's, burger king and..." starbucks, etc. Newly established hilton hotel just with 5 mins by walking by price is only 60% of hilton.   "I was traveling with a colleague who made the hotel reservations so I didn't know what to expect when I arrived. I was aware of the Shangri La reputation and have enjoyed staying at several. I do have to warn you just slightly.....this is still China and not Beijing or Shanghai. The rooms were sp..."acious and very clean. The staff was excellent! I thought the breakfast buffet was excellent (again,you are in China)! The work out area was small but since we were the only two working out it was great. The equipment was more than adequate. I felt like I was in a superior establishment considering what you can get for the same money in many cities in China. I'm heading back next month and look forward to staying at this fine hotel.
