  "What was most memorable of our 2 nights stay @ Nikko Senhime Monogatari in early April was its warm hospitality, even though only a few spoke English. We stayed in a Japanese style room with bed @ JPY 35280 on half board for 2 persons/night. The full size bottles of Kanebo face gel, toner and milk l..."otion in the bathroom were great.  I also tried their 50 mins body massage @ JPY7350 which was rather good. The cherry blossoms were still not in bloom when we were there so the surrounding scenery is not much to rave about. Our room on the 5/F was very spacious and the bed comfortable and it has a view of the stream and the mountains.The kaiseki dinners and breakfasts were appetising. Free intermittent wifi access is limited to the lobby area. We bought the All Nikko Pass @ JPY4400 pp and travelled via Asakusa to Nikko. This hotel is a little bit far away from the Kinugawa-onsen station, it's about 15min walk, there is a paid shuttle but only within certain hours in a day. As most of the onsen hotel in Japan, they include breakfast & dinner, and I feel the menu of this hotel is better than the one I stayed in Hakone before.   "This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you are arriving and departing Nikko by rail - It is right across the road from the JR station, and only a 2-3 minute walk from the other station as well. We found this very convenient as it meant we didn't have to go far with our luggage, but it's good..." to be aware that it's about 2-2.5km from the main centre of Nikko and the world heritage sites, so it will be either a reasonable walk or a bus ride from the hotel to anywhere you want to go. There also isn't many restaurant choices directly around the hotel, and they close quite early (last orders around 8/830pm). The hotel is extremely modern and well maintained, and we found the rooms and bathrooms extremely spacious by Japanese standards.
