  "We only stayed here for 1 night in a mixed dorm room. The room ha 6 japanese style beds. Really cosy. You also had privacy because there were shutters between each bed. 1 bed cost 2700¥ On the 1th floor you have a shared toilet, 2th floor for boys and 3th floor girls. The basement had 2 japenese ..."style showers. A big onsen (if you want to use it you have to arange it) and 4 showers. The kitchen is huge and the onwers are super nice and have a lot of tips about Matsuyama but also the whole of Shikoku! " More >

We had a Japanese style room, so a comfortable futon is arranged for you on the floor while you are out for dinner. Our room also had a small sitting area near the window. Not so spacious, but not cramped either. There is an indoor hotspring fed bath serving hotel guests. I slept like a log! The hotel appears to have some wedding business as well given the arrangement of the lobby. There is a gorgeous and well maintained garden on the south side of the building (surface parking is on the north side). The buffet breakfast is extensive with a good selection and quality. It includes a kaiseki style dinner and breakfast served in your room and a free access to the very well maintained honsen bath. The hotel's garden is simply beautiful and relaxing and you are minutes away fro the famous Dogo Honsen with the Emperor's private Honsen which can be visited. Our room was very spacious with our private bath room with the hot water coming directly from the Honsen source.
