The food was very good in the main restaurant and the Deer Hunter is well worth a visit as the location is super and we were treated to a herd of deer wandering over the golf course outside the window. The Blue Penny has great food but also has high prices for food drink and wine to match. We went on the night of our anniversary and a three course meal for 4 people including pre dinner drinks and a moderate bottle of wine cost around £350. Generally the price of drinks is high by the standards of other similar of hotel around the world.   "We had a very nice 7 night stay at Belle Mare Plage in May. The weather was amazing and the staff made our stay extremely wonderful. They could not do enough for us. My 3 year old son was pampered a lot by the staff and we were looked after really well. Special thanks to the Waiters Ramila, Boodhoo,..." Vinay and one other evening waiter at La Citronelle - with Glasses and average height who was the best. Also Afif - Room Service was brilliant. Sohan Singh - the Chef at La Citronelle restaurant (if staying half board - Breakfast and Dinner is at LA Citronelle) made amazing dishes. Natasha – the Kakoo club in charge was the best.
