Patara is a small Turkish village, a little way off the beaten track with stunning beach protected from over-development by neighbouring archeological site. This hotel is slightly up hill with good views of the valley towards the sea. Hotel's outstanding facility is the pool and poolside terrace, with plenty of sunloungers, a separate shaded area with cushions for those not keen on sun exposure, and a bar serving everything from breakfast (delicious) to ice cream milkshakes, as well as alcohol. The two evening meals served here (extra cost) were delicious and it was luxurious to dine in such a tranquil place. Kazim's knowledge of and passion for the local area was like having our very own tour guide ..."who helped us plan our daily excursions along the lycian way or to the numerous archeological sites surrounding patara - after which we would be welcomed back for authentic home cooked turkish dinner. Beautiful food ! The rooms were clean and bright. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were ample. If you are looking to experience genuine hospitality in a turkish family environment, then look no further. It is welcoming and friendly but never overbearing.
