After a long day touring it was always great to come back to the lodge and sit in front of the fire enjoying a glass of wine and talking to some of the other guests. Our interim innkeepers, Susan and Jim were amazing! Not only did they provide gourmet breakfasts but they always made us feel at home. They gave us advise and answered all our questions which made us feel so comfortable. We also loved the proximity to the Blue Ridge Mountains.   "Stayed here both on the way and back from the beach, and both times found it comfortable and quiet. Indoor pool and breakfast were very nice. Rooms showing their age and on the stay found candy wrappers in the drawer next to the bed, but generally very clean. Would stay again."
