  "Stayed at GIC 2 at Thale-U for three nights and the location and the scenery is breathtaking! Rooms are on stilts and while it is not the grandest of accomodation , it was sufficient. The room is of adequate size with a mini fridge and attached bathroom (hot water available). The room does not ha..."ve any fan or air conditioning. We went during the hot season and it was still bearable as it gets quite chilly at night and in the afternoons the room is really breezy. The gem of the room however is definitely the balcony where you can sit and relax and enjoy inle lake view with the mountains as a backdrop. However I do cautioned that in the evenings there are a lot of bugs but as there is net screens that cover all the windows and doors. You are quite protected. There isn't much to do during night times at GIC 2 and most people that stay here will have dinner at the restaurant at GIC 2 itself.
