Tea and his wife are lovely, friendly and intelligent people. We accidentally intruded on their holiday time, but they were extremely gracious and treated us like family. Tea's brother caught a tunafish on our last night and we were treated to a divine yet simple treat. We thoroughly recommend this pension! " More >

The flight in was wonderful over Maupiti and the motus and we left four days later on the Maupiti Express for BoraBora. We walked around the motu, swam off the m..."otu, snorkelled off the motu, did a fantastic lagoon tour with Sami and rode bikes around Maupiti. Tea and his family looked after all our culinary needs, wonderful breakfasts and wonderful dinners with something different to eat every night.   "My husband and I stayed at pension Marau for three nights and we found what we expected: ‎a quiet place, next to the beach with nice hosts and good food. The bungalows are spacious ‎for two people and quite clean. However the mosquito net could have used a bit more ‎cleaning, but this was also the c..."ase at other pensions on other islands! The bed size was ok but ‎it might seem smaller with the mosquito net hanging over it. The food is great, especially if ‎you like fish and garlic! Tea is a very good cook and always cooks plenty of food, you can ‎also tell him if there is something you don’t like! His girlfriend (Marereva) is also good in ‎preparing desserts. All and all, Tea and Marereva are very good hosts that make you feel very ‎comfortable. We really enjoyed the fact that they were having dinner with us! Remember ‎however that Maupiti is a very small island (ca. 9 km around) and hence staying at Pension ‎Marau on a motu, is even more isolated! This place is therefore perfect if you... " More >
