Yes, the art is a little macabre, but there is no denying the talent of the artist. That aside, what they have done here is truly amazing. The woman at the front desk/gift shop was very friendly and insisted on showing us to our room. We had a standard room with two beds and it was quite small, but beautifully furnished and comfortable. The bathroom is almost original and there is no counter space at all, but it is adequate for the type of place this is.
