  "We started our exploration of the Dodogne in Bordeaux and enjoyed the different geography and foods and wines along the way, but arriving in Argentat we felt we had reached the source of the beautiful river in a fairyland village. Not well known from the previous towns we had passed, but a must see...." And a must stay is Les Meyrandiers. This B&B is the signature picture of the town, right at the ancient bridge. Phillipe, the owner, was so helpful to direct us to the interesting sights, history and restaurants, and I don't think we would have appreciated it as much without him, as we do not speak the language. For English speakers especially, you will not feel like a stranger in this part of the world thanks to Phillipe and his wife. Beautifully decorated and attended to rooms and service.
