  "After a 300 mile trip down from Preston, i was very happy to finally reach this village inn just outside Plymouth. The sign outside said "real food, real beer, real friendly" and that proved to be very accurate. I was given room seven, that had a roomy and comfortable four poster bed, a decent size..." bathroom, free wifi, etc, etc. it was spotlesslessly clean and had everything Id need for the next 3 nights. The food served was lovely and i couldnt believe they did a steak special on monday night. £3.95 for steak, chips and salad... A bargain. The bar has a good selection of Devon and Corwall ales and all were well kept. The owners, staff and locals were great... Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts are excellent too and not for the faint hearted. If you,re still hungry after a full English here, you must have an eating disorder. This is one of the best all round inns ive stopped at and certainly the best place ive visited for work when in the Plymouth area. Will I return? With... " More >

They always love it and are as sorry to say goodbye to Amanda and Michael as they are us! Breakfasts are delicious and the rooms (which we have seen) are absolutely lovely.
