  "Peaceful and close to nature"
  "My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights at the Bird Island Lodge. The flight went smoothly and we were welcomed by the staff upon arrival, getting a complimentary drink and then an introduction to the island as well as information on do's and don'ts. The lodge is very eco friendly and your bungalow "..."key" is a flashlight (powered without batteries)! The bungalows are spacious and simple; no windows, just shutters, no air conditioning, but a ceilingfan just above the bed. All in keeping with being natural and eco friendly. The restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. They use as much locally grown vegetables etc as possible. Food is good, but not too many varieties. The island itself is quite small, and there are paths leading around the island which makes for great walks. Beaches are beautiful and it's easy to find your own private spot on the beach.
