Location is very convenient to the Orange County Airport, just literally across MacArthur Boulevard, maybe a five minute drive to/from airport. The front desk was cordial and check in was smooth. We were assigned to two adjoining rooms, one..." with a king bed and one with two doubles. Rooms were large approximately 350 square feet with dated furnishings and a noisy hvac individual unit mounted on the wall, circa 1980's. A mild caveat is intrusion of air traffic noise for light sleepers due to proximity to airport. Parking is $18 per day with in/out privileges, however when returning to the hotel in he evening, parking lot was extremely full due to a wedding party, so had to be patient and wait to hunt down a parking spot/or one can upgrade to valet parking.   "I recently stayed at this hotel while I traveled for my annual visit for my son's birthday/mother's day. I initially chose this hotel because of the location and the other good reviews. He apologized for the inconvenience and even gave me a choice of what floor I wanted my room on. I have to say, the rooms in the older building are different. The rooms are round with concrete walls. Very rustic. My main complaint is that the rooms are supposed to be non-smoking but when I stepped through the door, the smell of stale cigarette smoke hit me like a brick. I also noticed a cigarette burn on the side of the bathtub. The toilet seat was very loose, which I did report to the front desk when I checked out. There will be a "casual" cafe for breakfast and lunch and a pricier restaurant, usually the only dinner option if you eat at the hotel. They will be clean with a courteous, attentive staff. Things such as Internet and local phone calls will be extra. Regencies can generally go head to head with lux hotels anywhere. So it was surprising to me to find the chair in my room spotted, as was the carpet. Even the hallway carpet needed a good shampoo or replacement.
