  "Mahoroba's exterior wasn't very appealing. It looked like a box-shaped industrial building, pretty much like many of the onsen hotels in Noboribetsu. It's 5 min drive to the famed Hell Valley and 1 min walk to the main street where you can pick up some souvenirs or try the famed hell valley fiery mi..."so ramen. Very convenient. We had two western style rooms facing the main street of Noboribetsu, with a glimpse of Hell Valley on one side of the window. Room was nothing fancy but functional. It's clean. Toilet was capsule style. Complimentary tea snacks were delicious. WIFI not available in the room. Staff spoke a little English and were generally helpful and friendly. We arrived on a rainy morning and they were able to recommend some indoor attractions for us to kill a few hours before the 2pm check in time. What set Mahoroba apart was its onsen.   "Arrived and checked in smoothly and a lady was assigned to bring me to my room and showed me the way to visit the onsen and arrange for turndown service time. My room view is facing Hell Valley! And the largest onsen I've seen that's open for 24hours! Love the rotenburo's, sauna, bath area, rest are..."a...you can definitely find something that suits you. Very spacious so it gives you enough privacy to enjoy a peaceful onsen. I like the provided Japanese wooden clogs but the yukata's design not suitable for me hahahaa. Breakfast was sufficient and the shopping area is good, I bought the special moisturiser from the onsen and will visit again next time for more! Only thing is wifi only available in the lobby...
