  "We were in Connecticut for a long weekend to attend our grandson's confirmation and have finally found a B&B in the area that we will go back to when visiting family. T&G is a two bedroom B&B in an 1805 farmhouse just outside Granby, CT (about nine miles from Simsbury, CT). Wayne, one of the owner..."s, and Allie, the dog, warmly welcomed us upon our arrival. We had the Connecticut Suite which was lovely and can easily sleep three adults or two adults and two children. It had a huge private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. The room also had it's own TV with a VCR/DVD player and was stocked with a variety of movies. Wayne showed us the other room (the Granby) which is smaller. Although it has it's own bathroom, the bathroom is outside the room. Breakfasts were excellent to outstanding; fresh fruit with each meal -- chessy scrambled eggs and sausage patties on Friday morning; farmer's egg and sausage scramble on Sunday morning. We had arranged to leave a car for a week, which was a wonderful convenience. We found the accommodations to be quite comfortable. The room could e..."asily sleep 3 with additional space for little ones. The bathroom was huge, with more comforts than I have at home. Temperature control was welcome, as July was a hot one. The common space/living room was comfortable and well stocked with books and magazines. Breakfast was great. The grounds were lovely, with flowers and vegetable gardens abounding. " More >
