  "On our first stay, we had an issue with another guest from the next room and staff attempted to quiet them, but as soon as they left the people did the same and we just gave up and didn't bother calling the desk again. We had a first floor room, near the pool, very clean, staff was very accommodating. We arrived a little early, and they allowed us to check in. Again room was very clean, staff exceptionally friendly and each time we head to Mystic we will stay at Howard Johnson. This was our 2nd time visiting there in about 3 months. " More >

  "From the outside this HIEx is plain but inside it is warm and welcoming. The young lady at check in was so sweet and helpful, a great asset to the hotel. Our room was very nice, clean and large with an additional seating area. We visited Mystic Seaport to enjoy all that it has to offer. The stay wa..."s surprisingly very quiet even though I 95 is right outside. The little fact that the individual room doors don't slam by themselves, like so many hotels, allowed for a good nights rest. More hotels need to pay attention to this irritating factor for their guests . The only downside that I witnessed was that the desk clerk was having to do double duty in the morning and set up breakfast as well as attend to guests needs. This was not a particularly busy time yet it definitely created conflict between caring for guests and getting the breakfast out too.   "I recently stayed for a few days at the Pequot B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; Nancy and Jim were so accommodating. When Nancy called ahead to a popular restaurant for reservations for us, we were treated like visiting dignitaries and shown to a table with a window overlooking the harbor even ..."though the restaurant was pretty busy. And Haley, the Basenji, was a big highlight of our trip. Both of us have dogs and were missing them and she was so sweet, watching TV with us at one point. Nancy had great directions to all the places we wanted to visit in our unfortunately too short visit. We exchanged recipes for brussel sprouts, a vegetable we both happen to like. We would definitely return to the Pequot on our next visit to the Mystic area. " More >
