  "Overall I am very happy with our experience at the Drop Anchor Inn in Islamorada. I booked through hotels.com which created some confusion checking in; the front desk advised to call next time as they may have a better rate. The people at the hotel were very nice – provided us coupons for a local re..."staurant and were very friendly. We had to check out early – there was a drop box to leave the key; very simple. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. While the exterior certainly is dated the room inside was well maintained. The bathroom shower did seem a bit dated which was my only gripe. Parking lot was great – spaces were plenty big although we had a small sedan many guests had larger SUV’s which fit quite easily. I would certainly come back – we had a great time. " More >

We had a great view out our back patio of the garden area a short walk led us to the pool area with a covered thatched roof sitting area and further out the private beach area allowed us a great view of the ocean. All in all the most relaxing place we have ever stayed at. The house was booked, but they setup made it feel like we were alone. I can't recommend this place enough.
