  "While on our way to Wisconsin, we stopped off in Rochelle for the night. We stopped off at Holiday Inn which was right off the highway. The hotel was clean and the service was great. They had fresh cookies out in the lobby for the kids, which was an added bonus for them. The pool was a bit small...", but we were the only ones in it so we didn't mind at all.   "My first impression of this HIX hotel was the location, right up next to the rich dark soils of northern Illinois, corn and soybean country. I saw the huge John Deere machinery doing the spring corn planting during the free hot breakfast. Amazing. So was the hotel. This is a standard Express p..."roperty, featuring the indoor pool, exercise room, breakfast room with hot, fresh foods, free parking, spacious welcoming lobby, etc. The rooms themselves are clean and well maintained, many with micros and refrigerators. I like the consistency of this high-quality product. As HI used to say decades ago, "The best surprise is no surprise." The staff members were part of local farming community. They have that warm rural welcome, making you feel like a valued guest. I got lots of help from the front desk, finding the bank ATM, the car wash, and a good restaurant for dinner in this small community.   "I have stayed there a bunch of times-it"s a bit outdated but very clean and the staff will do anything they can to aacomodate you.They even drove to a florist on there own time because i requestd flowers for my girlfriend and they don"t have a florist at the hotel,Very nice of them."
