  "By Chicago standards (and by the standards of this chain) we found this to be surprisingly affordable for a 3 night stay. It's a very modern, clean hotel which includes all the amenities - small microwave and fridge in the room, which was very spacious. Beds were comfortable, although I have to say ..."that the couch wasn't especially comfortable, and we had a hard time converting it to a pull out bed for our daughter. The TV was confusing to operate at first. We had the misfortune of being on the same floor with some sort of group of young people, so there was a bit of noise and a couple of times kids knocked on our door (I think they mistook our room for one of their friends.) We also had the misfortune of being there during what the front desk told us is a problem the chain has been having with someone hacking their internal phone systems and trying to get debit or credit card information by saying that there's a problem with the bill - we had one such call at 4 am!   "This hotel was in a great location and the staff was awesome. They were friendly, courteous and very willing to help. The friend that I was traveling with got sick and we needed help with information, and transportation and the desk staff was great with both. The hotel shuttle to the train that ta..."kes you into downtown Chicago was a great convenience and money saver. The trip by train to downtown I.e. magnificent mile is a little long, maybe 40 minutes but well worth the time. When going to miracle mile from the Skokie station yellow line where the hotel drops you off, go to Howard transfer to the red line and ride to stop at Chicago (best if going to the north end of miracle mile- such as Hancock Tower/American Girl or on to Navy Pier for areas on the south end may want to use stop at Grand.
