  "Overall very good...we spent two nights here, touring the area by day. The good points: spacious lawn, seating by water, nice view, well maintained, clean, staff very friendly, no blaring tvs everywhere, complimentary breakfast ok, hard boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee. We enjoyed ..."hanging by the water and by the fire pit and met some fun people. The staff was just great, they made us very comfortable. The not so great: walls in hotel section are thin, water seating is limited so I imagine that's a problem at peak season. Overall this is a very good place, at least in May. " More >

  "Perfect location while we were on our way from Marshall point Lighthouse to Acadia National Park. The B&B and hotels in the area were very expensive and we were pleasantly surprised to find one that was affordable. Rooms are large, and very clean. The bathroom door didnt lock, but we were ok with ..."just closing it. Note that there is no breakfast included in the rate, they dont have a kitchen. But Rick did tell us where we could find really good food a few miles down the road. The breakfast was 30$ and compensated for the relatively cheap room. I may have booked elsewhere had I realized upfront that there was no breakfast at Duck Trap. " More >

  "Wonderful get- away"
  "Went in late May just before the summer season. Pools were still closed due to cool temps. Not a big deal though. We found plenty to do locally. Staff was excellent, informative, and very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Hope to return before too long."
