Jean's breakfasts were works of art ( 8:30 A.M. sharp!) with time for enjoying informative conversations with her and Gordon. We learned about the historic whale boat captain's house across the road, about a good place for supper (it was wonderful), and what to find at the tip of the Cape, whether a lonely unspoiled beach or a jam packed street in Provincetown leading to a cafe featuring " the world's greatest clam chowder". I have stayed in most of the cottages at one time or another. They all have some degree of rusticity, each has its own quirks - and the whole experience of staying in a cottage colony like this is now harder and harder to find on Cape Cod. One thing I like in particular is while guests are permitted to drive directly to their cottage to unload and load belongings, other than that cars are parked in lot near the office. This keeps things much quieter and nicer - and safer - than having cars buzzing around.   "Inn at the Oaks was an excellent location for our purposes. Just about mid way between Hyannis and Provincetown it was convenient for us to go either way to enjoy our vacation. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very nice. We had the opportunity to stay 2 nights in the main house and t..."wo nights in the carriage house with a "suite"..Suite was much larger and more comfortable for us...King size bed. The only drawback to the suite was the other suite in the house was back to back walls and we could hear voices on the other side of the wall. It was not a problem but could be if the other group is noisy. The main house rooms seemed much quieter ant I was quite surprised how peaceful and noiseLESS the Inn was.Breakfast was adequate, fruit, coffee, english muffins, scones, cereal and fruit.
