They recommended bars, restaurants and spa's, their directions from the airport to the villa were also spot on. The villa management were also eq..."ually helpful and so unobtrusive you didn't even know they were there. The villa is in a perfect location as you are only 1hr from Faro airport, have perfect views, all day sun, piece and quiet, a lovely stroll to the village and access to the gorgeous sandy beach! It was immaculate, super spacious and with really comfy beds! Having your own balcony area off your bedroom was a lovely touch and to wake up to a view of the sun glistening on sea every day was brilliant! We cannot recommend this villa enough and would jump at the chance to go and stay again - Definately on the shortlist of places to go back to!   "Quite a Find in Salema"
  "Filhas do Mar was quite a find for us just moments after entering Salema. While traveling there the four of us agreed we wanted to stay in town, and on or close to the beach. So many of the properties listed were 2-5 kms out of town so the Filhas do Mar fit our criteria. Situated in the flats of ..."the town, a stones throw to the water's edge this proved to be the perfect find. For the four of us, we selected the two bedroom,top end unit with a wonderful view of the beach. The bedrooms were spacious and each had their own bathroom. The kitchen was well equiped and the living room was comfortable. Our favorite area of the unit proved to be the deck area with its views of town and the beach. The deck furniture provided the ideal spot for an afternoon nap or just the perfect spot for the evening cocktail Just a very short walk to both markets and an even shorter walk to the beach and restaurants, the property more than met our needs in this charming section of the Algarve. We had a nice apar..."tment with all the needed amenities for what we were looking for, a relaxed visit void of interruptions. We would wake and venture down for bread, coffee and freshly squeezed oj. Then either go to beach, cape Sagres or whatever activity we had planned for the day. Each day began and ended the same, coffee in am and wine in pm on our balcony enjoying the wonderful view. Bettina was warm and hospitable eager to meet any need that may arise, but fortunately none did so we were left to ourselves just as we wanted. " More >
