Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious and include a mini fridge and microwave. My only issue was the whining noise produced by the mini fridge, and there was no way to unplug it or turn it off. The room was also set at a specific temperature and I needed to have maintenance come in order to turn off the heat and allow the room to be cooled using the A/C settings on the wall (initially the front desk staff informed me I could adjust the temp via the wall unit, but having already waited a few hours with no change the maintenance person confirmed the cool water pipes were not turned on).   "You can't beat the location of this hotel for a stay in downtown Helena. It's right in the walking mall with a short walk to the cathedral. There are many restaurant options located very near the hotel as well. Of course it is obvious the hotel is a little older, but the rooms were clean, decent ..."sized and not overly worn. I stayed in a room that was not right next to the elevators, but must have been close enough that I could hear the forced air noises of the elevator movement through my A/C unit. Not overly noisy, but something that would cause those occasional sounds that have you curious until you figured out the source. So I would recommend a room further down the hall from the elevators. The front desk staff, especially Mallory was excellent, she was very polite and directed up where to shop and not to shop iun Helena. Our room was clean for the most part, I think the cleaning staff was in a bit of a hurry as the hotel ammenity book had one half of it covered in dust and the other halp was wiped down. After this I ran my fingers across the head baord and it was dusty as well. The bathroom was very clean and if a dusty book and head board is all you can complain about then I think this place can be rated as very clean. The banquet food and staff were great. We had spome great food and the staff was very pleasant and helpful.
