  "After driving all day in a terrible wind storm, we decided to stop in Tonapah; not our original destination. As we walked into the lobby of the Mizpah, we were sure that it would be out of our price range. It was clean and beautiful, but had just enough original character to make it feel like an old..." hotel. We found out that the cheapest rooms were very reasonable. They were what they called the "original" rooms, which meant they were significantly smaller then the others but they were clean and had everything we needed. After settling in, we went to the lobby bar and had some beers and an awesome rack of ribs! We struck up some conversations with fellow travelers, who all had the same opinion of the Mizpah; it is a beautifully restored, beautifully managed hotel. We ended up going to the bar across the street with some friends we'd made and, since it was Cinco De Mayo, cleaned the bar out of Tequilla!
