  "My wife and I tried booking a Hilton property in Ruidoso, but there are none. A bit disappointed, we "settled" on this Best Western that we'd never stayed at before. I must tell you that we were very pleasantly surprised! The hotel is not Hilton luxurious, but is very nice, very clean and our roo..."m and bed were very comfortable. The hotel is up the hill from Ruidoso Downs, nestled in the pines - away from all the traffic noise. It appears to be more of a resort than a simple motel! The grounds were beautiful, clean and well cared for and the picturesque view was magnificent! The staff was very courteous and helpful, the dining area for the full breakfast was immaculate and well situated with nice views out the windows to enjoy the morning. The only detractor was the ever-present tip jar in the breakfast area (this is a pet peeve and is a great turn-off. If you're there to work - work - you shouldn't ask for tips to do your job!).   "Beautiful, relaxing place to stay. Large, clean room. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff . Had stayed here before, and property has been kept up very well. In fact, staff was in process of painting outside garden area and planting flowers."

  "Your hotel is always nice and clean and the beds are very comfortable. I would recommend the hotel to anyone its a great place to stay! The only problem we have ever had was having kids above us running jumping and screaming and the front desk staff not helping with the situation! "
