Our room was right over the waterhole (river had just dried up and so the waterholes will probably have pumped water shortly) and we had a constant show of elephant, buck, dwarfed mongoose visiting. there are not too many places where you can stand in the shower (a proper inside one) and watch ellies socialising around a waterhole 20 metres away. The game drives were excellent although quite long in the morning (I would suggest asking the guide to stop and just watch animals for a time as you see great interactions).   "Greeted by lovely Joy and taken to the deck with a cocktail. An exhausting experience that begins each day at 5:30 am and ends after dinner at about 9:30 pm. 3 safaris in a day, but this is entirely up to you. We chose to safari all day. The obliging and knowledgable guides such as "Lips" . We saw j..."ust about every animal you could think of thanks to our guides. Our accommodation was a hut with a balcony with a view of the Chobe flood plain. Rob and Joy were our lovely hosts. Food was ok and home style. Breakfast very good. " More >

  "Chobe Chilwero seemed the most modern of the other Sanctuary Camps we stayed at, Baines, Chiefs and Sussi & Chuma. There was AC in room, bathtub and indoor and outdoor shower. Very comfortable room indeed. The food was fantastic! Usually a fish, meat and vegetarian selection. We did the boa..."t cruise twice, it was fabulous, sit in front seats! We were so close to a herd of elephants! Saw crocodiles, hippos, elephants crossing in the water (swimming). There was a major mix up with our transportation, which caused us to miss our morning game drive that I must mention. We were initially told we would be driving to Livingstone, but the morning of told we would be flying. Ended up having to wait 2 hours at Kasane! Blamed airline, but bottomline, nothing was done for us just an apology. I still gave 5 stars on the merit of the room and activities. " More >
