  "Just back on 16th May 2013 from the Riu Karamboa hotel in Cape Verde, This hotel is Fabulous ! With a capital F...... We stayed for 7 nights and loved every minute of it, the hotel is spotless, the food is fantastic and the staff are so kind, friendly and cheerful..... From the Reception staff to t..."he cleaners etc everyone is so happy to be working at this hotel.... On Arrival......we were met by numerous staff assisting us with luggage and check in... A glass of fruit squash was given to everyone......oh I have to mention the transfer time from the airport...about 10 minutes.... No more....it's fantastic, (no flight noise whilst staying at hotel as only 1 flight in and out a day) check in took roughly 10 minutes and we were in our rooms within 20 minutes of arrival....staff bought our luggage to the room so we gave them a small tip (2€) The room was lovely, air con worked fine and the ceiling fan was excellent keeping it lovely a cool, the bed was huge.....the room had plenty o...   "This hotel is large and expertly run from cleaners to bar staff and catering it is all manage to perfection. The food is great and the best choice of all inclusive you can get they even had a vegetarian/vegan section which I have never seen. It is always checked for temp if its hot or cold and cook ..."in small sections so its always freshly served. Pool area is large with plenty of beds and brollies to go round and the towel man lets you swap books for free and he has a massive pile Not over keen on the salty water but got used to it. Rooms are big and airy with plenty of storage and kept nice and clean. Beach is beautiful but the sea dangerous so if you want to swim in the sea go to Sharm. The show at night kept everyone entertained they had great costumes. The management where always visible checking on the quality of shows etc and they greeted to dinner at night and a tropical party by the pool to introduce everyone on a Wednesday, Lots of ramps for disabled even into the pool which is...   "We have just returned following a two week stay at the Riu Karamboa and I can confirm the hotel was just as good as our visit of the previous year. My previous review follows : " Only approximately five minutes from the airport the transfer is stress free as is the well organised check in on arriv..."al at the hotel. Although close to the airport noise was not a problem at all. The hotel staff without exception were friendly, helpful and always had a smile. The hotel was clean both inside and out and remained that way for the duration of our stay. Rooms were adequate with plenty hot water and a good shower. Food was to a high standard with a reasonable choice and always well presented, with the option of dining inside or out, or at one of the three speciality restaurants. The swimming pool was fine with adequate numbers of sunbeds as was the beach area again with adequate sunbeds. A must is to take sun screen lotion, and if you are susceptible to sunburn take a "high factor" as the breez... " More >
