Dering Harbor Inn is located close to the ferry (1/2 mile-short cab ride, but you could also walk) and close to restaurants, groceries and shopping. They have bicycles available to rent at the Inn at very reasonable prices. We biked to Crescent Beach and spent time by the lovely pool. The Inn provides Beach Towels and daily housekeeping- even for the suites. I highly recommend this place and plan to stay here again! " More >

The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and have some nice special touches such as jacuzzi tub, flat screen tv, small refrigerator, and private porch. There is parking onsite, and the b&b is conveniently located. The innkeepers are frien..."dly and accommodating. The b&b has bicycles and shuttle service to the beach. I would recommend visiting the nature preserve, crescent beach, ram island, a shelter island kayak tour, and bike riding around the island (just map your ride as there are some very hilly areas). The innkeepers recommended a nice bike ride near the b&b that went along the water and past some beautiful homes. I would definitely stay at la petite Maison again. " More >

  "June 2013 we had a family wedding on SI and we occupied 8 rooms in the Cedar House. Rooms were all newly painted, new rugs, clean bathrooms and mattresses seemed new too. One room had a bad a/c unit and was quickly replaced. One room had a hole in the wall and no unit was put in so the occupant..."s were upgraded to the main house. Our room had a loud ineffective unit and was not replaced, but we had a ceiling fan and a breeze. Shared bathroom was a bit of a challenge, even with our 25 yr old son. Great outdoor common place to gather. Convenient to all events, church and ferry, restaurants...go on a cool weekend! " More >
