The management and staff were very accommodating . We received a group rate at a substantial discount even after we had booked the standard rate and we were allowed to check in early. The housekeeper cheerfully handled a couple of special requests for us as well. The room was updated and the mattress and bedding were first rate. There is a sports type bar / restaurant as well as a more formal restaurant on the property. The pool was good sized with a dedicated lap lane and a hot tub and fitness center.   "We stayed here in early May when we were doing the long Island marathon. Great location as so close to start and the finish. Rooms are large. Also has great sports bar down stairs with great food. Perfect place to stay for anyone doing the long Island marathon! "

  "We only stayed here for one overnight for lacrosse playoffs at Nassau community college, but we thought the place was great! we arrived about an hour short of an Islander game which was taking place in the Coliseum next door, so the front lobby was loud and chaotic, but the person at the desk was pl..."easant! the only thing was that we had many other family members staying there and had requested a poolview room. I called when we were about an hour away, and the person I spoke to assured me that we would be receiving a poolview, however, there were none left when we got there. We still hung out with our family, however, we were split from the group. It was explained to us that these were the less desirable rooms and that they had to save them for a group of airline attendants who were coming in.
