  "Jan & John were were great hosts, both there to greet you on arrival & farewell you on departure. The French House was so clean, comfortable and you felt relaxed as soon as you entered. The breakfast cooked by Jan was delicious and there is even an option for a home cooked dinner for a small additio..."nal cost. Wines available to purchase by the glass or bottle at good prices. Great conversations with both and loved the fact that they could recommend places to eat in the area, and sites to visit. We were lucky enough to get the last room available on the night (Wisteria), 2 single beds, both my husband & I said how comfortable they were. Additional touches like homemade shortbread in the room, chocolate left near your bed, toiletries & tissues in the bathroom were a nice touch.   "We stayed 3 weeknights off season and found our ground floor room was quiet, probably because there were few guests, with pleasant views from the balcony across the wetlands. I photographed swans close by. The room had a kingsize bed which was firm but comfortable. There was a spa in the bathroom...".
