  "Absolutely loved The Getaway Inn at Cooper's Woods!!! My girlfriends and I went here for a ladies weekend May 17th (bunch of 26 year olds) and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was far enough away (maybe a block or two?) from the main downtown area but definitely close enough to walk to everything. ..." It was good to still have the option of being rowdy at the bars/restaurants or having tranquil down-time at this Inn. We rented a golf cart from Harriet's House just a block away, but really the only time we needed it was to explore the island. Breakfast was served hot and fresh every morning (strawberry and cream cheese stuffed french toast, fresh cut fruit and hot coffee was a fav) and the staff was incredibly nice/helpful. Danny, the Innkeeper, gave us lots of pointers and tips about the island each day we were there. Our room (Northern Woods Suite) was perfect for a group of ladies. And for additional perspective, we are all in our 30's. One of our rooms was the large 8 person room. This work..."ed great as the main hangout location during downtime. We were able to use the two tables in the room to set up makeshift beer pong. The staff of the hotel is great. They are very friendly and the cleaning crew stocked us up with plenty of clean towels, soap, shampoo, etc. If you're headed to PIB with a group looking for a fun weekend, you can stay here knowing you won't have to worry about getting noise complaints and having to take the party elsewhere.
