  "I asked my mom to write this for me since I haven’t grasped typing yet and I am only a two year old yellow lab. Rick told my mom when we booked this place that if dogs could post on Trip Advisor they would say “This is the only place to stay!” And he was right. There are lots of trails, woods, me..."adows, and fields to hike and smell. We only stayed here two nights in mid-October (we had been on a two week road trip through Utah, Montana, Idaho, and Washington) and this was my favorite stop. My parents took me to the river every day and twice on Monday. There were nice folding chairs for my mom and dad to sit on while I swam and played in the river. Everything is so green and pretty, and when we went it was cold and wet, perfect Labrador Retriever weather. I saw geese, ducks, a variety of different birds, and tons of squirrels that almost chased but mom said I couldn’t.   "Family Renunion"
  "We rented the lodge in August (2012) for a family renunion. People came from San Diego, Seattle, Bakersfield, Corvallis, Oceanside, Vista, Cave Junction and Hugo. Ages ranged from 80 to 12 and every where in between. We had a great time. Plenty of room and space for everyone to do what they want..."ed. It was August so the weather wasreally hot. Air conditioners in every room and central air kept everything cool. Cards, games, pool, hot tub, rafting on the river, movies, sports, quiet time in your room. Cooking and eating together was really special. The kitchen was complete with dishes and lots of pots and pans. Because our meals fed so many people we needed larger pans, they even brought special pans from the restaurant to cook pasta. Our blender broke and the owner brought over her personal blender for us to use. The dish washer never rested. There were 24 to 30 in and out over the weekend. The first was just last year with a couple of college buddies and I loved it so much I brought my wife back to see it just before Memorial Day weekend this year. The property is beautifully located on the Rogue River and the hosts (owners) Rick and Carol went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted. Cabins are clean and fully appointed with all the modern necessities (fridge, stove, microwave, air conditioning, coffee maker) but the place is so charming and relaxing you just want to hang, read and chill out in one of the screened in porches or sitting on a chair in the river all day.
