From the time we exited at the Donegal exit off the Pennsylvania Turnpike we were delighted with our decision. The drive is a scenic byway of lovely pastures and rolling hills. The town of Ligonier was a delight, with its bandstand, small shops and restaurants. Colonial House is on the old Lincoln Highway, Rt. 30, so it is historically a route of inns and places to eat. Dawn is the Innkeeper, and she met us at the door with warmth and hospitality.
